How do they select STRIDE participants? What are the average stats?
also how many people getting early acceptances?
I don’t know, but it definitely isn’t everyone who is ultimately accepted. Nothing in today’s mail 
I’m sure it’s not many and you will get in. Also, if it helps, I don’t think either of these girls will attend much as they love the school. Good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement. Smith is #1 choice. I know she “qualifies” stats-wise, but so many other factors and this year is just plain weird. Anything can happen.

D got a letter! Very damaged, we only have half of it. She is away and won’t let us open it, we will hopefully be able to read it tomorrow.

Where are you writing from? I am thinking it may take an extra day for the dark and waterless Texas Tundra…but not if you are also in Texas…
Update-It was an acceptance letter! We are in MA and it was mailed 2/15. Got here yesterday. So it took four days and we are very local. So don’t give up hope!

hi, i was wondering for those who got early acceptance letters what your stats are? trying to figure out if i have a chance of getting an early letter!
D’s stats: 1550 SAT, GPA 4.2, our school doesn’t do class rank but she is #1 or #2 per guidance, 3 AP classes last year got 4’s on all, is taking 4 this year. We are at a small rural HS so that’s a lot for our school. Varsity soccer all four years and a captain, Unified track, and is also president of two clubs, an officer in another, NHS and French honor society, works after school at two different jobs. National Merit Rural Scholar Award, Dartmouth Book Award, Regional Superintendent Award. Applied in Bio with a foreign language minor. She took as many classes as our school offered in French and Spanish. Volunteered for school helping with COVID reopening stuff. One of the clubs she is an officer in and her favorite club is a club dedicated to creating a safe space for non neurotypical kids in school to interact with neurotypical kids-socially and at school events.

last year it was Mar 20. We are on pins and needles. This is agony.

I don’t think so at all. The letter said it was for a select small group of applicants. And if you look at last year’s RD thread a ton of people got in RD on the regular date.
