Hey folks so today we're gonna be talking about Smith College. Smith is my top choice and it's been my top choice since sophomore year and I'm just curious will I get in? Which I know you all can't say for sure because your not admissions. So I guess is this will be a chance me?I have roughly a 3.0 GPA and I'm involved in a lot of extracurricular activities I interned for my Democratic caucus here in Georgia and I paged at the capital here in ga I'm also a part of the national honor Society and that's just to name a few. I come from an all girls high school now which has a college preparatory curriculum and I'm just really really curious and I've made a connection with an admissions person. Ive attended alumni tea's since my sophomore year I visited the school and make some connections with students. I think I'll be a great fit and I just kinda want to know like what you think.Ive been accepted to Agnes Scott Xavier and Hampton but Smith is my top choice. So folks what do you think? Im currently a senior. If there's anything you would recommend I do to strengthen my chances please let me know.

Being from the South will help (usually LACs are low in that demographic), but your GPA is a little low. Maybe try to boost that while highlighting other qualities that make you an interesting/engaged applicant. Make sure you demonstrate how you will contribute to the Smith community.

Will you be able to raise your GPA by mid-term? Unfortunately, looking at Smith’s Common Data Set - only a little over 2% of enrolled students have a GPA in your range.

“Percent who had GPA between 3.00 and 3.24 - 2.16%”

I would say do your very best with your grades in whatever time you have left and write your very best essay and supplement possible. Good luck!

P.S. In the additional info section of Common App, I would include bullet points of why you feel Smith is perfect for you, and you for it :)
