Smith double to Landis Triple?

I just got a reassignment notice that they got a room available for me at landis. Its a triple though, so I'm not sure if I should do it.
What would you suggest?

The triples in Landis are usually full triples and not 3 in a room meant for 2… They either have a private bath or you have suitemates and it is 5 to a both. The triples I have seen in Gilchrist surprised me --they were roomy. There was room for three beds on the floor (ie none bunked) and three dressers and desks and closets. I suspect the triples in Landis are similar.

I would hustle over to Landis, ring the bell, and go in and talk to the RA’s maning the front desk They might let you go knock on a triple or two’s door and see what it is like. They can tell you what room numbers are male triples. DId they tell you the exact room–if so, go over and check it out!!!

Tell the desk your dilemma, I feel 90% certain you could check it out–that is if there is someone there when you knock on that door.

Good luck

My son was in a Landis triple last year. The rooms are around 16 x 16. His room was just like sunnyfloria said…they had 3 beds on the floor, 3 closets, 3 desks, 3 dressers & 2 mini-fridges. They were on a corner so they had windows on two sides of the room. They shared the bathroom with the connecting suite…so 5 guys shared. The kitchen was right next door. There was also a full bathroom a few feet down from the kitchen (tub, shower, sink and toilet). They often used it if they were in a hurry. He never shared a room before and I was surprised he never complained about the room being too small.

A agree with sunnyflorida…go over and ask if you can look at the room.

DO IT!!! I got reassigned from smith to jenny murphree after living in smith for a few days. Honestly, it’s so much better. The room is probably much larger and most likely doesn’t smell like old people.

haha I actually like the smell. I usually cant wait to get in my room and smell the weired aroma of old people and coffee.
I checked it out by the way. It seems pretty cool. Its gonna be fun getting all my belongings over there by foot. I have to make about 5-6 walks over there before thursday
:(

Check out a wheeled dolly at the front desk of Smith or Landis! Good Luck.
