Smith (UMCP), McIntire (UVa), Goizueta (Emory)

Any alums/students/insiders on these specific schools?
I'm thrown. I've been hunting for reviews and comparing the curriculum of all three... but I'm still halted by those damn U.S. News/BW rankings.

I'm planning on Finance/Marketing.

I visited UVa* last week, and was impressed with the ICE program and post-grad placement, but after one hour inside the commerce building and scouring the internet, I still can't get a complete sense of this school's strength. (Maybe I'm just so blinded by how small town Charlottesville is. It's cute, though.)

I might visit Emory* next week. But having Atlanta right there is tempting... it's private... internship opportunities? Is McIntire really that much stronger than Goizueta?

And there's Smith. I'm instate (more like in-city) so I got a decent deal there, but am not jumping up and down to go there like half my senior class... But I'm not so selfish that I'm going to spend thousands more just for prestige rather than difference in program strength.

Is the difference between these schools is worth it in the long run? (currently leaning toward McIntire, btw)

*Assuming acceptance into two year program

McIntire is definitely the strongest of these, but Goizueta really isn’t too far behind, so it could still be a better option if you prefer a more urban environment with big city amenities, but if the only issue the city makes you wonder about is program strength, then don’t worry because UVa definitely has the edge. UMCP doesn’t have the placement or respect of the other two, but if you’re saving a considerable amount (and, judging by the costs of UVa and Emory, you may be) it could still be worth it.
