<p>I smoke. Not a lot, but i do. Most people i met during blue devil days, hell...all! the people i met at blue devil days said sth in line with "ewww", "NEVER!", "You will die"(to which i thought, we ALL will die, won't we ?) when asked about smoking. </p>
<p>Do you think i'll be an odd one out if i smoke ? </p>

<p>It probably goes without saying that smoking can’t be done indoors. But I don’t think it really matters if you take a couple minutes to stand outside and soak in some sunshine and smoke. Just don’t leave the butts on the ground and it’s all cool.</p>
<p>Most here don’t smoke, but you’ll find some who do so no worries. People usually don’t judge so you won’t be shunned haha.</p>
<p>There aren’t many smokers at Duke. You’ll almost always find someone smoking outside the entrance between Perkins and Bostock library.</p>
<p>I smoked in college (addict…although not that many cigs a day). OK…ten year reunion…everyone mentioned my character flaw, how bad I smelled, how I would sit in the halls and stairwells (to be considerate to my long suffering roommies) and stink up their passage ways…
I still miss a cigarette mind you.<br>
Even with Ben Duke standing at the Entrance of East Campus…Best to stop. *Patterns set in brains–in your 18 year old malleable plastic, still transitioning brain cell age (I started at age 17) are harder to break. I still have a little pathway in my brain that wants nicotine…yep! *</p>
<p>20 year reunion…many people blaming me for getting them started. Yeah… I know I wasn’t passing out crack but it isn’t the greatest of legacies. My roommate was a soprano and I hurt her voice…my clothes closet stunk, we could light up on airplanes in my day…horrors…I am the biggest hypocrite now…when I see old roommate…she always ribs me with a cough cough…discreet but you get the picture.</p>
<p>Duke 09 son says people do smoke at Duke more than you might think outdoors…but you would be surprised at how many health nuts are at Duke. Lots of students there were varsity athletes and are very keen on fitness and enjoy the two gyms on East and West greatly.</p>
<p>People smoke. You’ll get nasty looks and comments when you stand outside buildings smoking because it’s really annoying for those who have to walk past you and smell it, but yes, people do smoke here.</p>
