also, I dont know where many of you guys live, but in my area, it’s really common, which really sucks because it puts a bad name for where i live :(

a lot of you guys probably go to priv schools where it’s less common

^Aww sorry:/ No, I go to a public school, and a lot of people actually do smoke:/ They go to class smelling like cigarettes, which is disgusting:<

^^ I hate the smell of cigarettes. It’s enough of a reason to never smoke, for me.
But I guess the whole asthma thing might also play a part.

No there aren’t. Nothing can dispute what I said, except for tests taken under the same circumstances that show different results. Go find that for me, and don’t just copy and paste something from Above the Influence for “facts”.

i go to a catholic school where tons of people of smoke weed and cigs, its no big deal really.

people just like drama… lol. weed is rly not a big deal and needs to be legalized. even the IB curriculum is pro marijuana!!! I found tht funny. I read the Drugs and Medicine option in IB Chem HL and it’s total pro pot.

People who do the ganja are obviously going to say it’s not bad; they are biased, just as most (not all) people who don’t do the stuff are going to say it IS bad.

Also, I don’t know if this has already been mentioned but marijuana is called a gateway drug for a reason.

As for me, never done either cigarettes or marijuana. Both smell bad, and most people I know who do either one lose control over it eventually.

A lot of people I know smoke cigarettes and weed. I don’t because, well, there seems to be no point and it doesn’t seem very healthy anyway. I’d rather people I know didn’t but I’m not going to tell them not to. If anything, they already know how I feel and that’s that. It’s a…sort of understanding.

But I’ve never known anyone in my school to have something terrible happen to them because of those things. Alcohol is a different story…

I don’t understand why people feel like they need to have such an off-standish attitudes towards cigarettes, even weed and drinking. You don’t have to be a dick or a ***** to not smoke. If you came around to my town you’d have to learn to not have a problem.

Personally, I don’t like weed, not because it’s more unhealthy (which it is, I read somewhere that 3 joints a week it the equiv of 16 cigs a day) but because I go to sleep after eating massive quantities of food (which is great, but not during the Dave Matthews concert I was at).

Cigs? Not sure why they are so popular where I live but I smoke them because I have kind of a “why not” idea of them. I can’t see myself smoking after college and please, I don’t want to get assailed by comments telling me that I will get addicted and I will have terrible lungs and that I shall die before I’m thirty. Mind your own biz, hit a bowl or something and stop ****ing complaining!

^that’s a lulzworthy reason to not smoke weed. I can’t drive high, so I can’t fulfill my munchies many times unless there’s a designated driver (I hate my fridge food blazed).

I’ve never taken up cigarettes although I almost have twice. I can see me taking them up in college, and then dropping the habit a year into graduate school.

hookah is where it’s attttt <3

^^wait, so, u haven’t gotten addicted to ciggies yet? isn’t that, kind of, supposed to happen at some point? i’ve tried them once, myself…eh, they’re okay;i was scared of getting hooked, though. not a good idea when you’re on vaca with the 'rents :|

Marijuana as a gateway drug is complete bs. I know regular pot smokers that would never do any other drug.

It also has many, many health benefits.

^such as?
also you can say that but anyone can refute that by saying that they know people who did other drugs because of pot. the whole general argument is ■■■■■■■■.

I don’t necessarily agree with the whole ‘mind your own business’ thing. I mean, if it’s a stranger fine. But if it’s someone I really care about then I can’t exactly ignore it. I mean, I know that things might not turn out bad at all. Then again, they could turn out really bad. You never know. It’s the same way that I don’t think people should text while driving.

“hookah is where it’s attttt <3”

There was a hookah bar in my town for a few weeks. It closed for building problems. It was a strange thing–I live in a small town–but no one seemed to care.
