SMTD Decisions

Hey all--

I applied to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance as a Choral Music Education major by the December 1st deadline and had my audition on Febuary 8th on-campus. We were told durring the general information meeting that since we were one of the last groups to audition, we could have our decisions in as soon as two weeks, but it may take them longer.

It's now March 19th and I'm still eagerly waiting to hear anything from Michigan. Is anyone else still waiting for a decision from SMTD? Has mostly everyone heard? And should I take it as a good/bad sign that I'm still waiting?

Your thoughts are appreciated!

There have been some voice performance acceptances reported over on the MUSIC thread (under college majors.) Someone there I believe also mentioned they were told the admissions office was backed up a little, so not to be alarmed by the wait.

At any rate, you might want to check out the music board as that’s where you’ll see postings of acceptances to all music programs. Best wishes!

I know, as far as performance majors are concerned, they’re rolling them out in waves. Some instruments have heard and others have not. They are probably just backed up. Good luck!
