SChubes5 I know what you mean! I just hope we get our letters on Monday because I don’t know if I can wait any longer. I have similar stats gpa wise and got a 32 on my ACT.

notwax- It’s a little over 8X10, red, and has a mustang on it. It states SMU bound on one side and Congratulations on the other with a beautiful sticker.

Hi folks, just wanted to answer some questions I’ve seen.

Prez/Hunt notifications will not be included in the packet

Departmental or individual college scholarships have not gone out

Various honors programs have not gone out

It’s a red 9x12 envelope, should come within the next couple of days

No denials at this point in the process

No need aid has gone out yet

Congrats to those accepted!

Thanks, hippiechicken - we’re in CA so hopefully the red envelope will arrive tomorrow!

hey john! Do you know when we can expect to see presidential notifications?

I live in the DFW area, 29 ACT with 3.7 UW GPA, AP classes, good EC’s and tons of community service…Applied EA but did not hear anything on Saturday…wondering if my ACT score is too low for EA??? From what I have read overall those accepted have some very impressive ACT and SAT scores. Hoping the mail is slow but if not, I certainly am impressed with where SMU is going in terms of reputation if a 29 ACT is not gonna cut it.
Congrats to everyone who has gotten accepted!!

John - you might have already said this but I just want to double check. I’m assuming being accepted to Cox through the BBA Honors program is considered an honors decision and hasn’t been decided yet, correct? If that is the case, do you know when we can expect to hear if we were accepted to that? Thanks a ton. Pony up!

HouTex - EA students will probably hear back about BBA Honors within the next month. Cox is usually the first school to send out notifications!

Im in Tennessee, the mail came but nothing from SMU… does it come with the mailman or the usps box truck?

When can New England expect to receive the package?

So exciting!!! Many of my classmates and friends in the DFW area received their acceptances on Saturday so I was worried. The mail just took a little longer to get to me. What a relief. :)

@SMUhopeful I am also in TN and have not received word yet either! I’m hoping we will get word tomorrow! What part of TN are you in? I’m in the very northeast corner.

Southwest!
A lot of people at my school got in today… I just hope mines late

No mail in New England. Probably Tuesday or (gasp) Wednesday. Boo. I wish they posted online.

My son just got his letter in No Cal today. He will be engineering and received a Founders Scholarship. He is thrilled! The acceptance letter was very personal and talked about a huge project he founded. Very impressive. Anyone visiting for the January EA engineering reception?
