Is anyone a current student and can give me the low down on all of the dorms? We just learned that we got Mary Hay. What are the reputations of all of the dorms?

Not current for sure. I’ll tell you I lived there 40 years ago and loved it!
The newest dorms are Kathy Crow, Crum, Loyd, Armonstrong, and Ware commons. They have more modern furniture and tend to have bigger rooms, but they are all community bathroom. Boaz is the oldest dorm and most in need of renovation but has the best sense of community within the dorm. Cockrell-McIntosh and Morris-McGuinness have mostly singles and suite-style.
The new dorms (KC, Loyd, Armstrong, Ware) are the nicest but furthest from classes. McElvaney, Cockrell and Momac are great location but could probably use renovations. Mary Hay, Peyton, Shuttles are mostly suite style and also great location. VS is nice and has a great sense of community. Boaz is the worst dorm in terms of quality of living space but I would say the best in terms of community. Every dorm is unique and you’ll find a home wherever you end up!
