Admissions just told me email invitations were already sent out, with follow-up packages to be mailed near the end of the month.
I just called admissions and they said they do not have the list yet. No emails have been sent. It would be nice if SMU would post somewhere what is happening. The people who say the have gotten the emails…what do your emails say? This makes or breaks it for my son.
I know some Dedman College Scholarship interview emails were sent. For those saying you received emails, could you all please confirm that your emails say President’s Scholar Finalist interview?
My DS got an email yesterday and I just double checked it and it is for the President’s scholarship, the interview weekend is 3/19-3/21 with the actual interviews are happening on 3/20. We got nothing in the mail yet although the email says that we should have gotten the package by now. That email came as a big surprise but nevertheless a very pleasant one! >:D< .
Congratulations! It is a awesome opportunity. Your son and you will get to met with current PS scholars during the weekend.
That is interesting because admissions officer Kellen Lewis said they were not emailed/mailed out. Maybe depends on who your admissions officer is?
The email was actually from a scholarship coordinator, not an admission officer, so it may be possible that the Admissions still don’t know that the emails were sent out?
My son also got an email yesterday saying he was a finalist. Nothing in the mail yet.
Guess that settles it. Time to look at Financial Need Aid! Anyone know how generous or not generous SMU is?
My DS just let me know that he got his package in the mail. The date on the letter is 2/13/15. Good luck to everybody still waiting!
Does anyone know if SMU has sent notification letters for the Hunt Scholars finalists? That thread has been quiet for the past several days.
Just wondering, for the students who were selected, what are your standardized test scores and AP workload like? 2300+ SAT and 4.5+ GPA for me. Just trying to get a bearing of the student pool.
