Students who enter the university with the equivalent of fewer than four semesters of college-level foreign language study will need to enroll in at least two additional semesters of the language they have previously studied. </p>
<p>· The only exception to the above provision is for students who enter the university with the equivalent of three semesters of college-level foreign language study. Those students will need to take only one additional course.</p>
<p>· Students who enter the university with the equivalent of four semesters of college-level foreign language study will have satisfied the language requirement.</p>
<p>So, my s took 3 semesters in high school (not college level) which was a joke class. I feel he can test out of some placement exams but not foreign language. So, if he wants to take a new foreign language, will he only be required to take 2 semesters? The wording is not easy to understand.</p>
