I don't think so. As far as I know, they don't start considering you until they have all of your stuff. So the fact that you've had an interview would suggest that they have what they need. (I'm reasonably sure.)

dtown is right, the fact you have had an interview pretty much means it's ok. And the e-mail is supposed to be sent on the same day as the postcard confirmation since they both say the same things apart from the interview details which are included in the postcard but not the e-mail but you're sorted out on that one, so if I were you I wouldn't worry hun, it's probably just a problem in the mail if anything, not yale.

Thank you so much for the comforting words =)

I disagree (maybe just because I haven't gotten my postcard yet either).

If you sent everything together, then they probably have everything if they didn't screw up with filing. The fact that you got the letter confirmation only means that they received your supplement. Same thing with the email. However, without the postcard, none of us know whether or not Yale really has all the components of our application in the right places.

im in here2insanity's shoes also. email, letter and interview, no postcard.

and to prior conversation, colin firth is gorgeous!

oh, if youre talking about the postcard regarding that theyve received your stuff, lindsey, then i think that card doesnt confirm much either. It says on it basically "you should assume that we received everything, and even if we havent, we'll contact you, so dont call us." It doesnt mean "OK weve got everything, we checked twice, we did hand recounts and everything, weve got it." what its saying is "yeah....weve got SOMETHING, but you should assume we've got everything, and if somethings missing, we'll call u."

So, yes, its true that they only start reviewing your app once they have everything, but no, the postcard isnt the confirmation of receiving everything. All the card says is that they have some of it, and if anything ends up missing, they'll call you. So no need for anyone to worry, unless they call you and say something is missing.

And to anyone who didn't receive a PIN number (like me) via mail, just email Yale, and they'll send you one. What happened with me is that the mail is supposed to be about your alum interview AND your PIN number. However, my alum contacted me via email, so i guess there was no need for them to send the snail mail thing.

the letter i got said they had some of my things and that i would be receiving a post card when they sorted everything and they had all of my application.

oh, hmm. i didnt get that letter. no matter, i think the main thing is that theyll get in touch with you if something is missing, so no need for anyone to worry.

Oh, cool. Thanks for the update!

Sorry another question... I want to email Yale but which address do I use? Should I contact my my admissions officer directly about the PIN code? I don't want to bother him...

I'd suggest emailing Yale directly

So, has anyone received the post card saying that Yale has everything yet? I have not. Is it time to start worrying? Also, can we fax over 1st semester grades for consideration for EA? Thanks.

I still haven't and its driving me crazy.

Yes, you can fax your grades.

the postcard means nothing pretty much
I got mine a while ago and they sent my counselor a letter saying htat they hadn't received one of my recommendations (a month after i sent it...) but it wasn't a problem because we just faxed it again

wait... so which is the general email address?

Anyone have an idea?

Try this: online.decisions@yale.edu

Thanks lindseylujh ;)
