From Cornell's site: "We encourage you to apply online to expedite the processing of your application and to better serve you."

I don't want them to subconsciously be harsher on my application because I mailed it in. However, I prefer to mail it in for several reasons over the email (ie. Bold print, italics, formatted resume). What do you recommend?

I think I submitted Part I online and the rest by the mail for my application - Part I is the part that really gets the application going so if you can do that online, you'll get your online ID and everything faster.

They encourage you to apply online to make their lives easier, not because they favor it in admissions. I don't know how they'd be able to tell anyway when they're actually evaluating it. Besides, their job it to let the best kids for the school in, not to be mean about how you sent your app. Can you imagine a scenario: "he's borderline" "he sent his app on frickin paper man!" "screw him..."
