I am hungry and it’s too cold and windy out to go find food. boo.

i go to school in ma, and my school made it a point to let everyone know that the university will be open today. there is even a message on the homepage.

I go to high school in New Hampshire and we have our fourth snowday of the year today

We had a day off yesterday (first time since 1982).

We have school today, despite the fact that dining services isn’t open on main campus, the roads can’t be plowed (inch of ice on the ground), and the university announcement said to stay careful even though they claim it’s dangerous.

what the hell? literally everything else in st. louis is closed (including every other university)

we have a snow day! i go to suny oneonta…they told us yesterday and I’m pretty sure the whole school was at the bars last night…we wake up this morning and there’s no snow (well none compared to the 24 inces we were supposed to get) and the roads are plowed much better than they were yesterday when we did have class, so we got a snow day for no reason =)

Auggggh. Canceled. They sent out the email at 2 AM. Apparently people were getting stranded traveling around by foot and couldn’t even make it to the dining halls.

Though apparently there’s going to be an epic underclassmen vs upperclassmen snowball fight in the main quad at 3:00ish. What’s up with that? Can’t make it to classes, but can make it to a snowball fight? Ffffft. :)

My school hasn’t had a full week of school since the new year started. Snow strom every week and it always happens on a wednesday :)

I’m at school in NC. No snow right now, but a couple of weeks ago the first official 3 days of classes were cancelled…because of snow…which then turned into ice…and made walking to class suck major dong.

Here too! It’s getting kind of annoying, actually. Today is the first official snow day but last Wednesday, classes after 1 were cancelled, then Thursday classes before 2 were cancelled and THEN yesterday, classes after 12:15 were cancelled. I feel like I’m never going to have my Contemporary Fiction class, aha.

^…bummer?

Writer1992…how on earth would that be a bad thing, ahahaha

Snow days are NEVER annoying :P

Yes, lol. I have no classes Fri or Mon so it gets incredibly boring.

3 snow days in a row. never has that happened in my city since i was born

There were only 11 inches of snow at MSU, not even blizzard conditions, just a steady stream of snow all through the night and part of the day…so I don’t even know why class was canceled all day…MSU definitely got caught up in the whole media frenzy of “snowmageddon.” Oh well, I’m certainly not complaining! Got to party/drink on a Tuesday night, make snow angels, sleep in, and then get a ton of homework/catch up on my research study job. Then one more day of class and its the weekend!

As for you UofM students who had to go to school yesterday-that sucks! HA

^My one class ended up being canceled anyway because my professor got “iced in.” Worked for me. I slept til 5pm and went to see The Kings Speech. Of course, now it’s 4am and I am still awake. I don’t think we got nearly as much snow as you did in EL. With everything getting piled up from clearing the sidewalks it’s hard to tell, but I would have guessed we got closer to 6 inches. Maybe some of your snow turned into sleet before it got here.

I hope the streets downtown are cleared better tomorrow. I only had to walk a block to the theater and it still sucked, I almost fell over like four times trying to get across the street.

I have to say I am really impressed with the University of Michigan’s snow removal system

Things did seem MUCH better today, back to normal. I almost walked right into a snow plow on state street. lol

Ema, yeah I think you guys got spared. Plymouth didn’t get much either. EL got a large brunt of this thing.

My school didn’t give a snow day, they just advised us to bring a snow shovel to class and take small steps.

SNOW DAY iN HOUSTOn
I LOVe GLOBAL WARMINg
