so do we ever get snow days at cmu? if not what about delayed openings or something? i know this might be a silly question but dont all the upperclassmen live off campus, and i would imagine it might be hard for them to get to school and stuff.

I also am concerned for the safety of our fellow commuter and off-campus students.

There really are no snow days. Maybe you will see 1 during all of your years at CMU, but they are very uncommon. For the most part, Pittsburgh is very well prepared for snow, and they do a good job of salting and plowing the roads so that people can use them. Even the people who live 'off-campus' could walk to campus in 20 minutes or so.

The city & CMU are usually on top of things, so you'll rarely (if ever) see a snow day. It's really not a big deal, you'll see.

There were no snow days this year. Life went on as usual. The only disruption that happened was a halt to bus services for a little while as the roads were plowed and salted. Granted, that can be a bit annoying if you're at the Waterfront (a shopping complex a good distance away from campus) when the buses shut down, but otherwise snow doesn't disrupt anything.
