Snowboarding/skiing and penn.

Are there any nearby (even 2-3 hrs away) mountain resorts for skiing and snowboarding?
Does anyone at Penn go?
thanks!

i think the poconos is nearby unsure though

yep poconos are close, about 2 hours away

i'm going there in a few hours =p

penn has a club ski team that competes at various locations in pennsylvania--I believe that anyone can join and that they compete at about 5-7 events

I've never skied in pennsylvania to tell you the truth. I actually haven't skied in a lot of places ( basically just vermont and bariloche in argentina). But I've heard skiing in the poconos sucks. Like I said, I haven't been to a lot of places, so I have no idea, but that's what I've heard.

Blue Mountain isn't too far and it's pretty fun. They've got the steepest ski slope in the state.

Well thats ok I'm not expecting much

I mean... Southern California skiing pretty much is terrible

but liveable

people end up going down with a tee shirt on many days when its 60
