<p>I don't know about a snowboarding group, but the mountains of NC are great for it (Beech Mtn, Sugar Mtn, etc.) and are about 2-2 1/2 hours away.</p>
<p>Duke does have a snowboard club team - competes in the southeast region of USCSA - boarders have 4 local/regional events and then nationals</p>
