So a bear, a lion and a tree walked into a bar...

Cal vs Columbia vs Stanford

which one would you pick as a univeristy? for an engineering major?

criteria would be experience, training and prestige probably?

hahaha i see what u did there, nice.

cal tech seems like a good enginering hence the name tech lol

i would pick columbia since im a premed though :D

By “Cal” he is referring to “Berkeley,” not “CalTech.”

well i got owned

but yeah Fu school of engineering is pretty strong, I have a friend in it and he absolutely loves it. I wouldn’t consider berk berk if it was me because it doesnt seem as strong as the other 2.

idk about stanford but its the most prestigious out of the 3 imo

Cal is strong in all sciences and engineering. I’m a dual major in Psych and Comp Sci, and I would absolutely pick Cal with no question were Comp Sci my preferred major. It’s also close to Silicon Valley which is an engineering haven, plus a lot of major companies (aka pay really well, lol) in engineering recruit heavily from Cal.

You’d be ridiculous not to pick Stanford. But you could go to Fu too so we can partay all the time. Don’t go to Berkeley unless you ain’t payin nuffin!

In terms of engineering though, isn’t it Stanford > Cal > Fu? Just a generalization.

Cal is on part with Stanford in engineering. It’s not the same, yes but it’s definitely comparable.

What about relative cost? With this set, you can safely choose the place that is cheapest for you.
