So about that CC get-together thing...

first of all, has anyone received their mail package for ED yet? if so whats included in the package.

second as suggested before we should do a better job than last year's CCers in organizing this get-together.

ideas? comments?

i have. my package had two nice little folders: one is general viewing material for columbia, alum magazine, official acceptance letter... the other is financial aid info.

i'll be at columbia this saturday. pm me.

Yep got my ED Mail package today too. I might be stopping by Columbia this saturday too! going to the city with some friends to see the rockefeller lights and all.

lol I'm heading there for winter or spring vacation

OfEternity, does the financial aid package include the estimated amount of financial aid for you? Or is it just basic info?

it's only informational. i don't think it actually had anything personal that pertained to just me. keep in mind that you still might owe the fin aid office some material for financial aid. i think i still do...

Did anyone notice that the opening sentence in the acceptance letter in the package was a little different than the email acceptance letter? This time they included Dean Quigley's name.

My favorite part of the package is the letter which begins, "I am pleased to accept your offer of admissions to Columbia University...I will matriculate at Columbia University in September with the Class of 2010 [!!!!!!!!!!]"

It will be such a please writing letters withdrawing/cancelling other college applications this weekend instead of working on more applications.

Again, congrats to all!

^"please" = "pleasure"

Lynda, I haven't got any yet!!
How come you live in Vancouber and got one, but i live in RI and didn't!!!

i havent gotten it either, i live in ma, maybe the snow?

i got it already. for me, the financial aid package included the estimated amount of financial aid. i'm sure you got it too, OfEternity, the piece of paper the finaid was on was kind of easy to miss, but it's definitely in the folder. they also included a book with basic info too.

Who is this person... they have over 1,000 posts.

That is so amazing. Does she even have a life? Is this really a Columbia freshman potential.

Save me.

This is my first morning here. It is okay but I have a life and I may check back in a few months.

This poor person Lynda ... omg ... is this someone I really want to know??????

How in the world did she get into Columbia??????/

See you in a few months.

I'm in and I have a real life.

Congrats to all.

This Lynda person is really weird...

There is something so fishy about this.

I'm not posting my stats because I don't want to support the College Confidential Guaranteed Ivy Admission Program that COSTS $15,000.00.

So, Lynda, did you use College Confidential. You seem to live on these boards. This doesn't seem quite right but I don't have time to care.

See you in a few months.

Ummm ... anyway ...

I didn't get my package yet. I guess it's because I live in California. I hauled ass from school back home on Friday hoping it would be in the mail, but it wasn't. Saturday didn't bring any luck, and today is Sunday. :(

Hopefully it'll be here tomorrow.

-.- no I didn't I dont live in states and I can't afford to. I'm lucky to have met people that were able to guide me through the application process (columbia students), and I'm very lucky to have been accepted with my stats. also I have 1000 posts so what? I've been on this board for a long time and incase you cant read my average post is only about 3-4 a day.

yes columbia 2010, it'll fun to meet you in a few month, assuming you are even a real person. someone that signed up this month just to post 8 company-bashing and people-flaming posts?

as for the package thing, I recieved it through fed-ex express (over night) I think its because I'm international, so dun stress over it.

good thing is I havnt sent out any other applications so no withdrawing for me!

can't believe we are done, go us!

o yea anotheer thing (sry for dbl posting)

so are we still up for the CC get together? I was thinking about having it sometime after the orientation so everyone can famliarize themself with a campus a bit.

im down for that, i look forward to meeting everyone here :)

hey guys i haven't checked my mail... but about meetiing.. i'm so excited to meet all you guys, we should wear "CC board" and silly hats on the 1st day on campus to be easily distinguishable. yes.

what do you guys like to do when not on cc or freaking out about jsut getting into columbia?

hmm you mean an actual life? o I don't know lol.. bubble tea fridays with friends(our school dismisses early for fridays), shopping/movies (when I actually have time), and play computer games a bit.
I consider myself to be a pretty normal asian girl when I'm not studying lol

"bubble tea fridays"

You have bubble tea fridays? That's awsome, where're you from?
