<p>It will get harder every year for colleges until 2009 when the numbers start to decline. The UCs however will continue to have problems because there are simply not enough to accomodate all of the qualified kids in CA. I think unfortunately, this years will have a lot of people shocked by rejections.</p>
<p>Kids, if your numbers are below the averages and you're not an athlete or special case, prepare yourselves to be happy with a lower UC or the CC to UC route.</p>

<p>My major was History and my alternate was Econ. My class rank is 49/519 and im from Rowland Heights, Ca. Also i got accepted the day results first came out.</p>

<p>anxious i know how u feel, UCI should accept us both ive been to the campus and i love it, Please UCI for the love of god accept me i already created a special happy dance for the occasion of my UCI acceptence and i want to use it. I would give the dean of UCI one of my kidnees for an admission (if he needs one)</p>

<p>UCI_Hopefull...don't get too excited...I remember that last year I really really wanted to go to Cal Poly SLO (one of my friends got accepted in the same major with lower stats, so I thought I was in) but then I found out that I was rejected...and that was hard....I was depressed for a whole month. It's good to be optimistic, just don't overdo it because if the fall comes it will hit you harder. If you don't get in, don't think it's the end of the world....you are still young. Good luck.</p>

<p>appeals are very rare, and there only granted if say you wrote something wrong and ur GPA was significantly higher or something along those lines, but i am going to get a tattoo of the UCI mascott of my arm and send a photo of it to them to show them my dedication.</p>

<p>I called UCI and told them i loved them, they said they couldnt let me know over the phone. I then told them that i painted my car UCI colors with an ant eater logo on the hood and the receptionist still couldnt tell me if i got in or not. im thinking of getting a tatto of the UCI logo on my arm, the appointment is on friday and i need to know b4 then.</p>

<p>i love UCI i love everything about them i like that their dorm rooms are named after the lord of the rings i like that their mascot is an anteater (how original) i love the fact that its close to the beach i love the fact that the guy who wrote schinlers list graduated from there i love the fact that two of its professors won nobel prizes i love the fact that its a top ranked public university i love the fact that there are so many asains i love the fact that they're division one i love the fact that it was built in 1954 i eat sleep and drink UCI i only drink from my UCI coffe mug i already bought a UCI lisence plate and spent over $100 on UCI clothing.</p>

<p>seriously I am five minutes from UCI (culver and michelson) and it's nothin special I have been to the campus library to do research...it's Asian land...not my type of school...I need some diversity</p>
<p>With a 3.83, I'm sure you got into I. Don't worry so much. I'm surprised you haven't heard from them yet, though. I heard they respond from highest GPA applicant to lowest, but its just a rumor. If it were true, though, I'd assume you've heard from them by now. I guess I'll be waiting until May if you're still waiting now @_@;;</p>
