So swine flu is pretty much bound to sweep across the country in the next couple of weeks. The same couple of weeks that AP exams fall in. High schools are bound for at least a few days, maybe weeks, if an infection is found there. This could really disrupt AP exams, right? I realize the CB has makeup test days, but those 3 days are not enough for many people to take all of their AP exams that they had previously planned over two weeks. Would the CB be prepared/willing to work with schools and students to ensure students are given the chance to take AP exams they've worked all year for if this became an issue?

This has just kind of been nagging me and wanted to see if anyone else felt this way.

i hope the swine flu infiltrates the ETS building and all those @#!%*$ stay infected until i am out of high school (or done with all standarized testing done by the CB) and then they all recover to continue making kids miserable

it’s possible, but be aware that the media has WAY overblown this and that it may or may not actually every become a large-scale pandemic. I wouldn’t worry too much.

its a ****ty virus only the mexicans died from it, dont worry its a treatable sickness i doubt it “sweep across the country in the next couple of weeks.”

IMHO, it will hit more people in the next few weeks, but I expect it will peak by mid-May with maybe 1,000 Americans having gotten it, and then it will peter out.

It could be much much worse if they didn’t keep nagging us to wash our hands, but seriously, that will help considerably.

People who aren’t worried: the main reason that only Mexicans have died so far is because that’s where the most people have recieved it. Think of it as probability: if 1/100 people who get it die, then it’s more likely that the area with the highest concentration of sick people will have the most fatalities. The U.S. and the rest of the world will see deaths if and when the disease effects a larger number of people. It is actually pretty serious…

But anyway, I doubt that it will effect a large part of the country by next week. Maybe in two, but probably it will be really be big in late May.

Hey, remember how the media over-exaggerated about the conficker computer worm virus in the beginning of April? Whatever happend that day…
Thank you media for scarring the holy hell of people just for ratings.

The swine flu isn’t as horrible as the government is trying to make it out to be. It’s as tame, if not tamer than the types of influenza we are accustomed to.
