Ok so I have this honors chem teacher who is teaching first year this year. Now i know I have made some dumb mistakes this year (this being one of my first few honors classes this year), but I have had it with how unfair, how disorganized, how unclear, and how bad she teaches. Its all a long story and this is one of three honors classes for me this year (sophomore year first honors ever). I really wanna get into CMU or a school like it but I fear it might be hard if I (god forbid) got a b in honors chem this year. As far as my other honors go, i have a definite A in one of them and am unsure between and A and a B in the other, but will a b in honors chem this year hurt? Can i make it up by getting at least a B in AP chem and doing good on the chem sat II? sry this doesnt sound that bad but I am just so annoyed

if anyone can reply that would be great.. basically the question I am asking is, is getting a B in a class that reflects a possible major in my future bad if I want to get to a college such as CMU??

My AP Chem teacher this year was new to High School teaching. Before working at my school, she worked in the industry and taught a little at a community college. Well, she is, to be frank, a terrible teacher.

I go to a public magnet school where basically everyone is in the top 10% of the county. When the average test grade is in the 60-70s for every test, including the midterm, you know something is wrong.

I suggest you talk to the guidance counselors. Mine were surprisingly understating and together, we wrote a note, explaining the situation. Dartmouth received my mid-year report with a 79 as my AP Chem average. They still accepted me.

I will be majoring in Economics. Um...going into a field that has nothing to do with chemistry might possibly also help a bunch.

Record these teachers names on a paper.
Get into a college, the day you get your diploma at hand:

1) Write them a letter
2) Tell it to their face.

woah. I totally meant *understanding, not understating
