After what seems to be a horrendous reading portion for me, I believe I am retaking the ACT... anyone else doing it again?

also, what you yall think you got on it, composite and each section?

After what seems to be a horrendous reading portion for me, I believe I am retaking the ACT... anyone else doing it again?

also, what you yall think you got on it, composite and each section?

I feel really good about it...I'm gonna guess..
E-32-34
M-29-31
R-29-33
S-28-33

Composite anywhere from 30 to 33, I feel really good about it...although i made some STUPID mistakes..

Ill end up just short my goal of 30, however, like last time haha...I'm thinking this time will be different, though..

not bad

for me, i'm hoping for:
english: 34-36
math: 35-36
reading: 28-30
science: 30-34

don't worry, i made really dumb mistakes too, like staying too long on the prose passage. i think i'm going to retake.

The Science was hard :(

For me:

English: 33-35
Math: 33-35
Reading: 30-33
Science: 23-26

I'm definitely re-taking.

Did anyone else have the "In eukaryotic organisms, photosynthesis occurs in which organelle?" and "the CO2 gets transferred to the what in photosynthesis?"

chloroplasts, and sugar

I know the answers, but I have never seen questions whose answers were not in the passage. Either you knew it from Bio, or you didnt. RIght?

was the last question in the DNA section was N-N-N-N? just making sure, though i'm positive that was it

yeah, i'm in bio

Yep, DNA is only composed of nucleotides. DNA is also composed of a ribose phosphate backbone, but amino acids (building blocks of proteins) are not found unassociated in DNA.

Yeah, for the sugar and the chloroplast one..you had to be in Biology to get it...I'm 99% sure it wasn't in the passage.

Yes it is N-N-N-N, that wasn't really in the passage either, but maybe it's because I was pressed for time.

Definitely re-taking. That was my first time taking the ACTs and I thought it was difficult.

Predictions:
E-32-34
M-25-28
R-29-33
S-28-30
Composite- 29-31

Most likely retaking... my cutoff that I will not retake is a 33-34... not really sure just yet. Predicting my scores:

E: 32-34
M: 32-34
R: 27-29
S: 30-32

E: 27-30
M: 33-35
R: 22-27 (This is themost fluctuating section for me)
S: 25-29 (second)
Composite: 27-30

retaking unless god helped me on time-ran-out-so-i-had-to-guess questions.31~32 composite will keep me happy that i wouldn't retake =)

I think that the science section was ridiculious because of all the information that wasn't in the passages and the graphs/ charts. Some of the questions took a good amount of time and some extremely ambigious. I hated it and I think it was completely unfair.

Retaking.
E: 30-34
M: 23-27
R: 30-34
S: 25-29

I'm predicting a near perfect score for myself - but I bombed the writing b/c I thought I had 6 more minutes than I did. kicks self stupid!! So yeah...retaking.

I also thought I had 5 more minutes, when the proctor said 5 left, I had to do 1.5 passages. I went through the qi one in like 2 min, and probably messed up. Those are my good types of reading also :(

ha i did the same... first time taking ACT, and even though i took some practice, i thought that we had 40 minutes on the reading.. i was like oh 1 passage and 2 questions from another, 10 minutes, no problem... then i hear "5 minutes"

oh crap.....

I did badly =( I'll probably retake.
