Ok, I know that the main RD deadline was 2/1 and I missed it. But I found somewhere that ASU still takes apps until 5/1, but nothing is really guaranteed. Is that true?

So, I filled out the application today and all I have to do now is pay. But should I even bother?

I filled out the scholarship calculator on the ASU website and it said I should get the $13,000 Presidential Scholarship, so that would make the Out of State tuition very reasonable.

But would I even get a scholarship, applying mid/late February? Would I be eligible for Barrett?
I think that if I would have applied in the fall, I would have been competitive for Barrett, but probably not now.

My stats:

GPA: 3.8ish/4.23W
SAT: 1390/2110
ECs: Eagle Scout, Student Govt, worked 1-2 jobs throughout H.S., a lot of volunteering, grant writing, Eucharistic Minister, NHS, and a few other things.

So, should I drop $65 to apply and another $10 to send the SAT scores? My college choices are looking like it may come down to may safeties, might not be able to realistically afford my reaches/matches (Without graduating in a sea of loans), so I would like a couple more options. I have some good safeties that I really like, but the more options, the better.

The priority deadline for Barrett is March 1st and ASU is pretty slow in handing out decisions so it would be tough to make the March 1st deadline.

The merit scholarship deadline has also already passed.

i don’t know anything about the deadlines, but i’d just like to point out that if your sat scores are on your transcript, then you don’t have send them separately.

Call the financial aid office and see if you can still qualify. Sometimes if yield isn’t high (not enough people accept the offer to attend), they’ll figure out a way to get merit scholarships to competitive students. As for Barrett, you can always apply after your first semester. You have options, just have to seek them out.
