Basically, I screwed up on the test today.

I accidentally omitted 3 on the CR because I did not flip a page... I thought the section had only 16 questions when it had 19. I know it was stupid but it was section 9 and my brain was burned out by then.

Fortunately, I got an 800 in CR in my last Reasoning test.

How would potential schools look at it if my score drops by about 100 pts? I know that there is superscoring, I know what it means, and I know how it's applied. I'm not exactly a noob at this kinda thing (look at my post numbers and join date...).

However, I wanted to know what would realistically happen if my superscore goes up but a single section goes significantly down. If I explained that I accidentally omitted questions would that make me look stupider than if I had gotten them wrong? Then again, I wouldn't want them to think I tanked the section on purpose.

i have sort of the same problem i got an 800 on math last time and wanted to improve on the other sectionss but this time i screwed up on the math ... i apparently thought that 20/5 was 5 and then scrwed the rest of the question( it was the one with the dotted lines) and since the math section seemed easier than normal this curve is prolly gonna be a harsh one and im prolly gonna lose even more pts for all the other stupid mistakes... and im not even sure if i improved on the other section even if i did it could not be more than 30 pts on either one... do u think i should cancel my score or wait and c what i get?

Well... I think you're fine... :)

You probably went up in all the other sections, and its just one wrong.

Dude! I did the same thing! I finished the first 16, put my head down cause I had about 12 minutes to go. A few minutes later I got this URGE to open my book and what do you know? 3 more questions. Thankfully I found mine, too bad you didn't :(

I really don't think it'll matter MUCH. You already got an 800 and if you back it up with another ~700, they'll know it wasn't a fluke. The difference between a 700 and an 800 could be 2-3 stupid, accidental mistakes. I wouldn't lose much sleep over it man, you'll be fine!
