so basically im not getting in right??

<p>well after reading through the other threads, im not feeling so great about my chances....I applied pretty late, Dec 1 and I was notified that they are reviewing my app Dec 8. </p>

<p>My stats:
Applying for the Collge of Engineering
Out-of-state, Female, Korean
GPA: 4.3 unweighted, top 7% of class, all honors or AP classes (8 APs)
SAT: 1300 (600v 700m) yeah its bad</p>

<p>Extra-Curriculars:
Student Government Association Treasurer
Best Buddies Vice-President and E-Buddies Coordinator (2 years)
Captain of Varsity Field Hockey team (4 years playing)
Varsity Lacrosse (3 years playing)
National Honor Society
Science Honor Society
Montgomery County Region (MCR) school representative
Asian Pacific American Club (APAC)
Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)</p>

<p>I have won 2nd and 3rd place for regional science fairs.
About 200 service hours</p>

<p>Summer internship at the National Institue of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the Physics department.</p>

<p>Already Accepted to: Penn State, University Park and University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign for computer engineering</p>

<p>Yes, you will probably get in. My goodness, kid's trip out so much on this site. I submitted my application in the end of december or in january, I don't even remember. I had a 1270 SAT, no recommendations, out of state. And I most definitely got accepted. That was to LSA however.</p>

<p>Sonya, you have a decent chance of getting in, but Engineering is quite selective and you are applying late. Good luck and keep us posted.</p>

<p>Dwgrose, there are many students with good but not great credentials who get into Michigan annually, in spite of being out of state and applying late. But that's because Michigan has 24,000 undergrads. You are bound to find many such candidates. However, for every 10 such applicants, only 1 will get in. Students who apply late had better have excellent credentials.</p>
