Sorry if this was already addressed, but I am scheduled to take Math II, Chem, and US History SAT II Tests Saturday and would like to only take Math II and Chem. Is this allowed or do I have to take all three I signed up for? If I wanted to skip US History, how would I go about doing that? Is there a form to fill or do I have to notify the proctor? Also, would it go against me if I decided not to take it (i.e colleges know that I skipped the test)? And is it possible to retake SAT IIs because I know a lot of people retake SAT Is but I have yet to hear of anyone retaking SAT IIs (and is that score choice also)? Sorry for the lengthy inquiry but all help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

No matter what test(s) you sign up for online or in school, you receive the same answer sheet and the same booklet. If you do not take the test you signed up for, no harm done.

You can retake SAT IIs if you want. As far as score reporting, you must send all scores taken on the same date or none. For example, if you get an 800 on chemistry and a 500 on math II, you must send both or neither. You cannot just send math. Other than that, you can send as many or as few scores as you wish.

Score Choice gives you the option to choose which scores (by test date for the SAT and by individual test for SAT Subject Tests) you send to colleges in accordance with an institution’s stated score-use practice.

Please note that the new College Board score reporting policy will result in changes to the SAT Subject Test score reporting as well. Beginning in February 2009, you can elect to send or not to send SAT Subject Test scores individually. For example, you may take three Subject Tests in one sitting but then choose to send only two of those scores when you apply to colleges. This is a retroactive policy, so you will have the option of selecting only the tests you wish to send after February 2009, even if you took the Subject Tests earlier.
