Alrighty so fall semester starts in a couple weeks and November will be rollin on up pretty soon. Exciting eh? So can you guys fill me up on this TAG agreement? Is there a link or site where it shows exactly the requirements to qualify for TAG and what I need to do to sign up? I would much appreciate it because I plan on signing up for it. Thanks.

There’s a new system this year: http://uctag.universityofcalifornia.edu .

Before it was a hodgepodge of requirements, with different application processes and different “fine print.” Though there are still differences (e.g., at Irvine, and only Irvine, if you have any four-year units at all, you’re ineligible for TAG), but I’ve noticed a lot of standardization between different schools (e.g., UCSD and UCSB both specify that AP units won’t cause you to reach senior standing, meaning 90 or more semester units; this wasn’t clear before).

You can start filling out the application now, and submit it starting next month. The site links to each school’s requirements.

Have fun!
