So confused about what to major in?

I have so many ideas of what I want to do after college but I'm stuck between what should be my major.

I'm stuck between International Studies, International Business, Communications, French, and Spanish.

For the past year or so, my number one major has been COMMUNICATIONS because I think going into the entertainment industry sounds amazing. I can definately see myself working on the set of Ellen Degeneres, running fashion shows, covering Wimbledon, or doing something with tv shows. I know I'm going to work in a big city when I'm older and most of these jobs are in big cities, which would be perfect.

The only problem is...I want to TRAVELLLLLLLLLL and I want to be able to use my Spanish and French. Also, I want a job that pays at least a DECENT salary.

On the other hand, I have always been interested in Spanish and French, but I do not plan on going into interpretation, translation, or education. I am NOT interested in reading literature from Spanish/French countries, but their cultures, customs, and the languages interest me ALOT. Should I major in one of these languages or is there a lot of focus on literature and history? Are these majors even really that useful by themselves? Should I just major in something else and just have these skills on the side?

When I have a job, I want to be out and about, not stuck in an office in front of a computer the whole day. I've been researching what you can do with an International Studies major and the govenment came up a lot. When I hear the word government, I think history, politics, and an office-job...which is NOT for me at all. I also saw another option for working in a hotel/resort/airport which seems fun, interesting, and different (and I could use my language skills every day), but I know most of those jobs are low-paying which is a turn-off.

I have been seeing that International Business and Journalism can go together, but I don't see how? I have never really liked writing that much, but for some reason working for a magazine seems interesting. BUT, I would not want to be the one writing all the stories or designing the layouts. Maybe public relations? But really, what do you even do in public relations? Like what are the daily tasks, what do you do on a daily basis?

I'm contradicting myself right here, but I DO think that being a travel journalist would be fun. I could see myself writing travel guides and articles for magazines. The only downside is that I don't know about the income and I want to be able to have a family (in my 30-40's) and be there for them if they need me.

Another job that interests me a lot is being a Real Estate Agent. I could have the potential to earn a lot of money, have flexible hours, be out and about doing something different every day, and possible using my language skills. BUT, finance, accounting, and law all sound boring to me. So, could I use a communications major for a job like this?

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE AS TO WHAT I SHOULD DO? I'm just really confused on what I want to major in.

At my college most French and Spanish classes after the first 4 semesters are literature and history classes that are taught in that language.

Agreed with b@r!um - After you've learned the basics of Spanish or French your only options are translation, literature and cultural studies in the language that are usually reading intensive. Maybe consider a dual or double major?
