So confused to choose the best books (?)

Please help me to decide how I should prepare for my GRE. I have to take it on coming few months, and still I am not decided to how should I prepare?

What are the best books you recommend for the good preparation, or should I prepare from any online prep course.

Please help me to come out from this problem.

Thank You!

There is a GRE sub-forum for this.

But as long as the question is being raised,

You should definitely get the Barron’s book.

As well, you might want to get the Kaplan’s 500-word flashcards or book.

As for practice tests, you can go through the Barron’s tests but they aren’t accurate in the sense that they overestimate the Verbal score and underestimate the quantitative score.

You’ll DEFINITELY want to use the free Powerprep software provided by ETS. It will give you a solid idea of how you should score on the real thing.

There are a few things I wouldn’t go for.

The Kaplan’s book is a quick intro into the gre and gives you a solid grasp of the basics, but for most people wanting a rlly high score, it just won’t cut it.

The big princeton book of a 1,023 qstns or wutever it is called is not a solid buy. It has wayyyy too many errors.

Hello Master,

Many thanks for the suggestion.
One of my friends has advice me to take the online course.

Would it be good to take the online prep course? Will they provide tuition like private tutor? Will they assist me when I want through live chat or any?

Please help! any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thank you.

If you are motivated and can direct your own learning and can maintain some sort of a half decent schedule, the course is not necessary.

Those courses are just a big cash cow IMO. Total waste of time.
