still waiting for cal, but i was admitted as a UCSD scholar, so i'm already having trouble deciding. i like the UCLA campus better, but the UCSD bio program is among the best in the nation.

ouch rejected

rejected. sounds soooo good to me. Still want go to berk anyways. I look at the things people have that got in and sometimes i think UCLA is joke

UCLA R.E.J.E.C.T. over here

wow im shocked, most of the accepted have such great sat scores and all i had was a 1900, 730, 620! i guess they loved my ecs and my essays

Or probably your GPA was good.

The trend seems to be that SATs don't matter as much to them, as GPA does. As someone said, GPA + essays seemed to have been the key to the UCLA heart.

That's where it sunk for me. My higher-end SATs were supposed to bolster my low GPA, but ... didn't work in UCLA's case. :(

REJECTED
OOS, Asian

going to Stanford :)

REJECTED
4.0 gpa, 2110 SAT (720 V, 750 W. 640 M), hispanic female

oh well

Zelda ~ I hope you get into Princeton!

honestly....i think the UCLA admissions officers are on crack.....they reject students who have excellent credentials while admitting mediocre students.....oh well....it's UCLA's loss.........

As for me...I was rejected from UCLA last year (Fall 05) but was admitted to Berkeley for the double major of Electrical Engineering / Nuclear Engineering.....it's funny how UCLA has the "ballz" to reject an engineering student who Berkeley admitted. OH well......the cross admit battle between UCLA and CAL always benefits CAL (especially Engineering). No one wants to go to a engineering schoool where it is ranked 25th in the nation.....Berkeley...I am glad that you have admitted me (#3 in engineering). Like I said....UCLA admission officers are on "crack".....they always end up admitting lower caliber students and denying admission to high caliber students (maybe UCLA knows that those students will most likely end up marticulating up @ CAL).
