Just wondering if anyone else is getting hit as hard as I am for this college. I received a total of 3500 a year for a $50,000 school…it hurts. Despite being second in my class, supposedly I didnt exhibit a “need” for scholarships" so I didnt get any haha. Anyone else?

i ended up getting 18,000.. this may seem like alot, but its really not. I was also pretty high in a really competitive school. On top of that my mom is a single parent, and i have 2 other siblings who are in college.. Needless to say it should of been alot more.. I guess the 18,000 is without the federal loans, but its still pretty low for me

Financial aid has absolutely nothing to do with your academic performance in HS.

I got very little FINANCIAL AID. It amounted to maybe $5000 a year (same as above actually...single mom and 2 others in college but also my other parent is contributing so that lowered it). I got the half-tuition scholarship for merit though. Which is why I can afford it.

Oh yah same, i guess the scholarship doesnt count as fin aid.. i just thought he meant how much money he was getting. I got about 5000 as well, it was all grants.. But the 18,000 was with a half-tuition scholarship from college of eng.
