I have two SAT scores, a 2330 (760 CR, 800 M, 770 W) and a 2270 (720 CR, 800 M, 750 W). Since my superscore is just my higher test score, there's no reason to send the lower one to any of the schools that use score choice -- or is there?

Do schools know if you use score choice when you send them scores? If they do, it's not worth hiding my 2270 because they could think I took the SAT 5 times before I got my 2330.

Well, I’m not sure if they know…I’d kind of like to know the answer to that question myself.

As for you, I don’t think there’s any advantage to your withholding your lesser scores. For one thing, they’re not a whole lot lower and I think they reinforce each other, particularly those 800s. I’d advise you to send both.

I don’t really know. When I asked about it, she told me that it was just added to the confusion and it was best to just send everything that way no errors would be made. I think by “waste” she was referring to a waste of time as it is easier to just send it all rather than picking and choosling. She assured me that it would never have a negative impact for schools to see low as well as high scores. Since this is a school that has a pretty good track record of where their students matriculate, I do have faith in their advice.
