Save lecture notes or notes you take after the course is over? Say it's related to your major for example....Is it necessary to save them for future reference....(like say when you get to Graduate school?)

Yeah. It's important if it's your major. I save compilations of mine for each course in Word Documents, but I'm kinda anal that way. I have my whole freshman year so far on floppy! LOL

i always did- never know when you'll need them. i found it extremely useful throughout college and then getting my masters.

if you're a TA or teaching a course as a grad student, then yes. old notes will come in handy.

I only save stuff I think I'm going to use again. I'll be saving my psychology stuff because I'll be taking many more psych classes as an ed major, but some stuff (like computer basics) I'll never look at again. Also, if I hated a class (sociology, for example--don't take it unless you're liberal) I toss the notes and anything that has to do with the class.

haha i hate to be anal about grammar, but it's "do" and not "does"

Of course I save some of my notes. Anyone who's taking any of the graduate exams (GRE, MCAT, DAT etc) is going to want the notes from the courses pertinent to the exam. I'm saving textbooks from the relevant courses, too. After the mcat, I'm probably going to get rid of the notes and some of the texts.

I've kept my notes from hs math courses since course 3 started (now math B). They've been used more times than I can count!
