So Donald Trumps daughter Ivanka graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wharton

I want to graduate magna or summa cum laude too. But if I don't have a rich Dad is this possible. It disturbs me that over the years the magna and summa cum laudes of the great business schools ALWAYS seem to have big money parents..

For example Ivanka, Vikram Chatwal, and a few others

So what? Have you ever considered the possibility that she actually studied damn hard and is fairly bright?

This is all irrelevant. The point is: she's HAWT.

from what I've heard from friends of mine in her class she studied like no other, rarely partied, and was just really intelligent. Btw she graduated from the UG program (not MBA).

Rich kids graduating from Rich Kid Schools isn't anything new. Whoever told you life is fair lied to you.

Really if she studied hard then I apologize, but I mean the trend is unnerving, I'll have to find that list I saw (some newspaper I think it was the Tribune took note of how every year the magna cum laude of HBS seemed to be the son/daughter of a F500 executive)

but if she studied hard, good for her!

Let's just be clear, HBS and Wharton MBA program are NOT the Wharton undergrad program that both Ivanka and her father graduated from. Neither Ivanka nor Donald Trump has an MBA from Wharton.

well aware, but the Trumpster I believe did send one of his other daughters or son for the MBA at the big W

Can you verify that Ivanka Trump graduated summa cum laude? She transferred from Georgetown in her junior year.
Bern, what you heard about Ivanka not partying is not true. My son was in the same graduating class and had multiple classes with her. Yes, she is smart, yes she spoke up well in classes , but he also saw her in many parties, having a LOT of fun. He knew her fairly well.
None of Trumps' kids has an MBA. Trump Jr. also graduated from UG Wharton and I know the youngest was at Georgetown. I don't know whether he also transferred to Wharton. Donald has one other daughter, I think she's only about 10 years old.

However Sallyawp, I'd argue that Wharton UG is harder than both of the MBA programs that mentioned because of 1). the competition is more intense of at the UG-level (at least from what i've seen here at wharton) 2). the lack of grades being published leads to an easier environment.

prism92289: the thing is that at many of these top schools there are A LOT of rich/famous/powerful people's kids. So obviously some are going to be very bright while others are not (there will probably be a lot of very bright ones 1. because they've had premiere educations all their lives 2. because their parents tend to be intelligent, well educated, successful people)...in my class here at Wharton we have the son of the CEO of a top-5 IB. The kid is a total slacker/druggie who is on academic probation. We also have a few international politician's kids who do extremely poorly in school. Yet there are also the children of other wealthy/powerful people who graduate at the top of the class.

cbreeze : She did graduate Summa Cum Laude (<a href="http://www.forbes.com/billionaires/2006/07/27/billionaire-heiresses-hilton_cz_lk_cv_0727heiresses.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.forbes.com/billionaires/2006/07/27/billionaire-heiresses-hilton_cz_lk_cv_0727heiresses.html</a> - click on the slideshow)...I also never said that she didn't party. I said she rarely partied. She obviously attended parties at Penn but not to the point that you'd expect a celubutante to party at. She actually spent most weekends in NYC.

I doubt Forbes checked her credentials. Donald also said in an interview that none of his kids smoked..........a lot of hokies....my son saw her smoke...not just cigarettes.
Bern, I know she partied every week.....parties sometimes start as early as Wednesday......I don't know how you define "rarely". My son saw her regularly during the weekends.......she was seen often in his frat house.

i should facebook her

Jeez, what do you have against her? Anyway I'm sure news would have broken if she lied about graduating from honors, it's mentioned a lot when she's referenced.

regardless of whether she partied hard or not, sounds like she's very smart...and already rich...and famous...and hot. Wow.

She's pretty, but a sort of off topic question:

Does it matter where she went UG, isn't the big ol MBA at wharton what really matters..or maybe I am saying that since my chances at Wharton UG are..slim to say the least

lol PRISM same here, not attending Wharton UG is a disadvantage, but not vitally dead

"my son saw her smoke...not just cigarettes.

Yeah she probably smokes as a lot of college students do (although coke is bigger at penn than weed...so i wouldn't doubt if you said she's even done that)...parties at penn normally go from wednesday through saturday night by rarely I mean about once (maybe twice) a week as she pretty much spent friday through sunday in NYC. This is coming from my friend who has been her close friend for over 10 years.

She can be my sugar mommy anyday

but isn't that why people go to business school, to meet people like her, become social and BOOM you have a contact in the Trump empire
