So excited!

Sorry, just had to do this.

Today was the district solo and ensemble festival for high school band students in my area. I thought I totally bombed it and messed up my solo. Gosh, I got off track from my accompanist and couldn't play half the runs, but somehow I got a 1. For those of you who aren't familiar with this scoring system, 1 is the best you can get with 5 being the worse. The top two players in each section precede to state. I either got second or third. We're not sure which yet, so I might have made it to state! I'm so excited.

That’s awesome good job!

this calls for cake

^ I had cake last night, but I’m up for more. :)

congratulations!

uh oh.
somebody cut the cake, OP.
I told them to wait for you, but they cut it anyways.

There’s still some left if you hurry back.

the cake is a lie.

fizix just beat this thread.

No cake? :(

Congrats!
my ensemble got a 2, and we got a lot of 1s in festivals

^ I’m not sure if I should say congrats or not…

Nice! Ours is this weekend.

Congrats! =)
I got a 1 …2 years ago. Now, I don’t play anymore :-(

Congrats!

I’m in band but haven’t done all-district since middle school.

GOOD JOB! you should be proud !
I’m pretty nervous, my band is playing at MusicFest Canada next month.
We compete in the states too, last year we got silver at the Heritage music festival in philly.
Haha but I’m nervous because we’re the only ones playing at a four-hundred level.
:S
hopefully we wont mess up !

Good luck.

I’m not waiting to find out if I’m going to state. Should hear tomorrow morning.
