So Far So Good Nba!!!!!!!!!!

The Pistons weren't going to win this b/c it was at Miamis home!

Pistons are finished. Saunders will be fired at the end of the season, and Ben is going to walk. Miami controls the East.

What were you saying Phil?

Dwayne wayed damn! Did you guys see that move he pulled and got the basket! damn!

[/quote]

Yeah, the kid's got some skill.

I have to admit he is one of the best players in the NBA.

wow, i dont think the pistons can pull it out, as good as they are and have been...they just seem...drained.

Dumars realizes that the only thing important is a championship. This isn't a championship team, and there needs to be major changes that make it into a championship team again.

They have an awful coach who doesn't realize that defense wins championships, and they are getting exposed for it. Saunders will be fired, it's just a matter of time. One of the assistants will be NC State's coach next year.

Rasheed Wallace could be moved this off-season, his attitude which initially got this team over the hump is now just a nuisance.

Ben Wallace is likely going to leave in free agency, where he will get better money from another team (Chicago?) and where he will be more involved with the offense.

Should be interesting to see what happens. I think Miami wraps the series up in 5. Detroit has lost "it", they are tired, and don't want to win the championship.

I'd like to see Garnett take Wallace's place, but I doubt that will ever happen.

pistons should have traded wallace brothers with kevin Garnett...even tho people say its pistons' losing trade...

personally i really want to see garnett in the final.....i think i will really cry when i see garnett in the final...as 7years garnett fan..

Shaq can't hit a free throw, yet he is involved with the offense. A center doesn't have to hit shots. They need to dunk, and they need to post up. Larry Brown used Ben well that way, but Saunders' offense calls for a center to stand there, set picks, and get offensive rebounds. Ben's stated that he's been "clueless" in this offensive scheme. The two years Larry was here, Ben averaged nearly 9.6 ppg. Now he's at 7.3. Flip is the problem. He's been productive here, but the scheme and coach don't allow him to be productive, all he does is a few tip-ins and the occasional offensive rebound leading to a dunk.

billups=+2
hamilton=+1.5
r.wallace=+.5
prince=-.5
while ben is-2

so i dont think its not that flip doesnt use ben as offensive figure, ben is just not offensive figure....

What you just said makes no sense. In fact, it supports my argument.

He was an offensive figure last year. The stats show that under Larry Brown's offense, he had 2.5 more ppg. He was posting up on players, had more designed alley-oops, and was given the chance to dunk more often on the run.

If you had a clue about basketball, how offenses run, and how Ben Wallace is involved in an offense, the differences between Flip Saunders' offense and Larry Brown's offense, then i'd talk to you. Until then, i'd suggest you stay out of talking about basketball.

wow i finally found "a" person that thinks ben as an offensive figure........all he gotta do is offensive rebound and some screen play and perhaps some dunk in terms of offense...i have never been major offensive player...dropping 2points is not a major thing

i still dont know why my past post is supporting your point

Awolves6,

wait Saunders does know about defense!

And Pistons have made it to the championship laster year and the year b4 that! Think! And have been in a lot of playoffs! Buddy! this is a ship team!

Heat? Mavs? PHX? When have they won a ship?

Each team has improved. The Pistons have not. The Mavericks have had Josh Howard emerge and have gone out and gotten players like Jason Terry, who contribute. Phoenix got a lot out of Raja Bell, Boris Diaw, and Tim Thomas. And the Heat, Antoine Walker, Jason Williams, James Posey, Gary Payton. All this while the Pistons stay the same, and downgrade at the coaching position, while the Mavs get Avery Johnson and the Heat get Pat Riley, and the Suns maintain the reigning coach of the year. Dumars thought "Hey, this team was so close, why change it?" whereas all the otehr teams went out and made drastic changes to put them over the hump.

But excuse me but haven't we made it to the finals this year! Haven't we made it to the ship last year! Dumars is doing a wonderful job and to live by compairison of diffrent teams and there players is just un professional!

The professional part was the only thing I could think of since IDK know you. ;)

Dumars knows when to get the players he wants we are not in a rush! And I think we are doing pretty damn good with the players we have! And imagine if we had players like Lebron James, Carmelo, dwayne! We would be un stopable!

The pistons need a deeper bench.

Winning is everything, and the only thing. You are judged and remembered by your championships. The fans want a championship, and nothing less is a dissapointment. This year is a dissapointment. No one cares about having a "good" season. They want to be champs. That's sports for you. Those are the expectations set for the Pistons. No one cares about the regular season. Those are just the prelims. It's the same for the NCAA basketball tournament. If you get a number 1 seed and don't make it to the final 4, it's a failure.

The piston's could have picked Carmelo, but passed on him in the draft. Personally I think that was a good choice, Carmelo is selfish and the Nuggets are going nowhere fast.

nce more Carmelo is one guy and thats why the nuggets suck! I think Denver was supposed to get Shaq in the pick......hmmmmm.....

"the Suns maintain the reigning coach of the year"

Actually A2Wolves6, Avery Johnson of the Mavs won coach of the year...
