I was thinking about sending a letter reiterating my interest in Georgetown and also sending another recommendation (from my math teacher, since math is my weak subject, but I know he'll write an amazing rec). Any other advice?

dont overwhelm them...

that's exactly what i think i'm going to do. my letter is from my english teacher this year who LOVES me, and i'm going to work really hard on my letter and try to really express my interest. i really don't know what i'm going to do if i don't get into georgetown; i love it so much...?

How much would be too much, then?

As a former deferee who goes to Georgetown now, just continue to show interest. As I found out after I applied, an English teacher of mine was a regional chair for the alumni association, so you better believe I let him know how much I wanted to go to Georgetown. I live close enough to DC that I was able to go to basketball games and spend weekends there with a friend of mine, and I am positive the fact that I/he was constantly reminding (and showing) them that I wanted to go there badly helped push my application.

this may work at some colleges, but they don't need to be bugged with phone calls and e-mails. They already know you are interested because you applied early. I know someone who was very "friendly" with the adcom at Stanford and it backfired. This person seemed desperate and it didn't help at all. Just be careful.

hmm idk what to do..im gonna visit again, maybe send them a letter??

plus i got some new ACT scores back so hopefully those will help :) i was deferred with a 31 so hopefully a 34 will help

my original plan was another rec, a letter showing my interest, and to take some more SAT IIs, only to realize i really wasnt prepared to take anymore unless i wanted to study some class i already took all break.
My problem is i sent 3 recs in the first place! (dept of language so besides my normal english and chem teachers i had my arabic teacher write one)
i have absolutely no idea what to do besides go back, even my alumni interview went pretty well. ahh deferred life is not cool.

but everyone dont forget they will now see first semester grades so my number one priority is to finish this semester stronggg.
