So has anyone been rejected yet?

Or do they just wait until they have all their acceptances, and send all the rejection letters at once?

It's been so long it just feels like I'm waiting for a rejection letter, almost everyone else I know has already gotten in.

Well what was your SAT/GPA?

A person who works with my dad has a son who was rejected. He had a 3.6 GPA

I should also add that I know this girl from my school who was accepted with a 3.6 and a 1600 SAT, so it really depends

Yea, if I had a perfect SAT i'd be liking my chances a little bit more too

My friend sent his application before I did (December) and I sent mine two days before dead line and he still hasn't gotten his letter... The admission office said they started reviewing his apps last week. I got my acceptance letter though. I think UW regular undergraduate is easy to get into compared to the Honors Program. ><;;

snorstudent: I am still waiting on an application I sent on Dec. 1 =/

but are u sure about the office saying they started reviewing his file last week? that's a little late...shouldn't they have started reviewing everyone by the end of february at the latest?

@vans312

Your wording has confused me... Are you still waiting for your letter or do you think I didn't get my letter yet? By the way, I think my friend's app was delayed because he didn't have enough History credits so he had to clarify that the classes he is currently taking have enough credits for History.

my bad. i am saying that i personally am waiting for a response for an application I sent on dec. 1

isn't it kinda odd that they haven't updated it at all since dec. 28? it makes me feel like they threw my file to the side

My advice: Email them or call them.

It is odd that they didn't update it since December... Your UW online application status should say something like: "last updated on Feb. 15."

Now when I log into myuw I just get this:

Sorry, the information is not available at this moment. Please try again later.

Good or bad sign?

burmab:
i think that means they are updating some more application status'. Last time that happened, a lot of people's unofficial transcripts showed the next day

Not mine apparently:

The status of your application to the UW Seattle was last updated on January 18, 2007.

burmab, what are your stats?

My stats are way lower than the average, a 3.4 GPA and a damn, I can't even remeber my SATs.. But it was within their range.. 700something in English and writing and a little less than 600 in math.

But I have taken mostly honors/ap classes, I have a rising grade trend (my junior year and senior year have basically been all A's, it's my freshmen and sophmore year dragging my GPA down with a bunch of B-'s), I'm in the running start program and have a 3.8 average at the CC I attend, all of my essays were well written and I'm assuming unique, and oddly enough I have been accepted to colleges with higher average stats already, so I'm not feeling completely hopless about my stats - just somewhat hopeless :(

after all, they do let in a signifigant amount of people with GPA's under 3.5 (about 25-30% of the accepted freshmen I think)

I'm just hoping I'm one of those.

I have about the exaxt same scores as you and was accepted a few weeks ago. 3.25 GPA unweighted, all IB/PIB classes, 1990 SAT (710 Writing, 700 CR, buuuut only 580 Math), plenty of ECs...I'm even out of state...

plus! my status hadn't changed since december until it all went crazy at the end of feb...

They don't really respond to e-mails... I sent an e-mail last month asking about my status and got no reply. I would suggest calling if you have any questions.

That's awesome BreRocks.. That makes me feel a little better.

Congratulations on getting in!

The rejects will be getting their letters in about a week (maybe two) if it is like last year. I'm sure some people will still be accepted, but prepare for the worst if you haven't been notified yet.

SO MOST PEOPLE ARE ACCEPTED ALREADY!!!??
Even for international students?
oh my, i kind of wanted to go to UW..
