so many people on this forum seem to score 800s in the math section, you all must have some advice you can give me :)

I got a 700 on the dec 3 SAT and I'm sure that could go up to at least a 750 but I just need some advice on how to prep. so those of you who scored well on the math section, if you could just tell me how you prepared, which books you used, anything at all that you think would help I would greatly appreciate that :)

thanks a lot

I got an 800... I used the 11 SAT papers from PR.... the content I didnt revise as it was kinda like what I had done 5 years ago..

I find the best thing being practice... after those SAT's, i needed only 5 mins per math section as opposed to 25

Just take all the math tests in the practice tests. See your weakness and prepare by doing lots of problems where you have your weakness in. For example, geometry used to be my weakness. Now, I can answer almost any geometry question.

and DONT use a calculator
It wastes time and isnt needed for some dumb 2 + 3 type addition

lol :) I actually bought a graphing calculator for the test but never bothered to learn to use it...

thanks for all the advice. I guess I just need to focus more on prepping for the math part of the test rather than on the other two parts that I find easier.

could anybody suggest a prep book that has full explanations to all its practice questions? because, for example, the official study guide doesnt include those...

maybe you can use the PR book, or you can buy the explanations from testmasters
