I found the old CC archives while looking for more information on boarding schools and trying to get a feel for each one's personality (this was in about january but I didn't come on until about February I think.)

G:):)gle!

Someone posted about being college-savvy...the same thing happened to me. I don't know that much about college, but from being on this site I know a lot more than my friends, etc. who ask me for advice.

It was back when they had the old forums...I was looking for admissions chances at the time and came across this place, and I registered so I could tell someone who was acting very ghetto that I doubted he actually had a 6.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

google

and thank heavens for it

google made me a CC'er, my friends think im nuts looking at these forums, but what can I say its good stuff!

I was applying to prep schools and a link on google brought me to CC.

For some reason, CC has managed to place its threads on the top of Google searches. I also found CC through Google though I do not remember what I was searching for (selective memory sucks).

I found CC through Google as well.

I'm a Yahoo! person lol.
Searched for "free math2c tests" and i found none but came here lol.

a friend of mine told me about it while I was doing my own research about colleges.....he said it was an incredible forum and he was right.

The fabulous www.google.com

I just went on google and things...I was searching for something like chances of getting into college or something, lol.

I think that's what I was searching for too, something along those lines. At first I came here and saw that in every thread, everybody was valedictorian with near perfect SATs and ECs, which was a bit disheartening, so I left... and then a few weeks later came running (typing) back.

Why is it that most of us use Google, while very few use Yahoo or other search engines?
