So, how did you do this past semester?

As for me, I got the first (and likely only--though hopefully not!) 4.0 of my college career (rising junoir). I'm shocked, actually--I never expected to get an A in my senior/grad student level bio class (I'm a bio minor who started out a science major than switched to psychology). Cumulative is a 3.75, currently.

You?

This semester could have been horrible but was actually pretty awesome. I pulled A's except 1 "B." T be honest I stopped caring about my grades near the end because I was taking 28 semester hours. It was at a CC but still very challenging and a ton of work (thank God for the spring break in the middle), however, it was a very positive experience partly because I earned a hefty amount of credits for transfer, had a pretty good time, and learned more about time management than I ever had before.

Took 4 easy classes at a CC and got a 4.0 for the second straight semester. Wound up with a 4.0 GPA for my soph. year, but only a 3.8? cum. college gpa.

I got a 3.8 this semester, 4 A's and 1 B. I'm happy with it. It's the highest I've made in a "real" semester (I've made a 4.0 in the summer before, but taking only like 3 classes). My cumulative now is 3.4, I had a bad sophomore year where I made like 2.7/2.8, but all the other semesters in school I've made at least a 3.4.

Kept my 4.0 with 15 credit hours (but 3 at P/F that won't transfer in the Fall when I start elsewhere). Got A's in two history classes, a Poli Sci class, and a SAGES seminar (writing intensive course). P/F'ed an upper level Classics class that would've otherwise ruined my GPA.

This semester turn out pretty well. I got an A in my linguistics class, which I did not expect on getting. German and math were A's too (which was sweet). Econ was an A-, but I sort of expected that ( I realized I ****ed up one of the 8 questions in our final test).

mmike: "28 semester hours" - ??
how many courses is that?? how many credits is the average course at your school? can you provide a breakdown of that? at my school, that'd be like 9 courses. that's not even allowed here. that's full time, twice over, plus a credit.

i had an emergency near the end of the semester, so my grades were deferred. i don't know how i did yet.

It was a good semester. Happy its over though, and that I do not have any writing intensive classes next semester! 4.06/~4.12 Cum.

also: 28 credits is ****ing insane, thats a major accomplishment.

Had a 3.3 GPA last semester and cumulative GPA of 3.3.

Got 3 A's and a B+ This semester. Retaking the B+ class since it was fundamentals of public speaking. The class was so easy I got a bad grade.

not 9, just 7: General Chemistry and lab-(5) General Physics-(5) Calculus II-(5) Principles of Macroeconomics-(4) Ethics-(3) English College Composition-(3) US History to 1877-(3)

I did have to get approval from my guidance counselor which was a bit awkward but after some convincing she gave me the ok (just urged me to be humble and don't hesitate to drop anything.)

This was at a CC which aren't exactly known for their high standards... the ethics and economics courses were shortened 8-week courses and it seemed pretty obvious the instructors were making things easier for us so all things considered it wouldn't have felt like a "real" 28 semester hours but everything else seemed fairly rigorous. For example, the calculus and english were the college's Honors sections, and further, the chemistry used the standardized ACS final so it couldn't have been much different from standard university rigor.

Of course I didn't work at all or do a whole lot else during this time so it couldn't have been much different from some of the others that take a full course load and work 20+ hours per week! (or an over-worked over-involvement hs student.) Luckily I was able to take ethics, english, and history web based so no lectures for those just a lot of weekend reading and writing as history and english required many essays even on the history tests. I always came to lectures early and stayed later to work on homework and make time to study (often with other students.) Big personal accomplishment for me.

How come you already know your grades for the spring semester? My college doesn't release our grades for another week...

3.65 freshman year, 4.0 sophomore year, 3.83 cumulative. Really happy with how this year turned out (at least academically).:)

3.89 last semester, 3.8 this semester and 3.85 cumulative GPA. Not bad considering all the stuff I was in this year and the rigor of courses I took.

Just got my last grade - an A- in a class I thought I had in the bag. I had a 3.94 this semester, raising my cumulative to 3.75. Timing is ticking - only two semesters left - and I'm trying to graduate with a 3.8.

I got a 4.0 this semester and I'm so proud of myself because I've been doing so well lately! I hope I can keep up my good grade streak.

1st semester- 3.945
2nd semster- 3.81
summer work- 4.0
Cummulative- 3.89

not bad..i wish i would of done that in high school..lol

Coulda been real bad, but turned out well. Had 6 classes, 1 pass fail. Almost failed my pass fail, and almost got B's in half my other classes, but pulled it out during finals and got the 4.0. Pledged and did well at sports too, so I'm pretty proud of myself

3.65 this semester and a 3.5 overall.

I am pleasantly surprised because I got a B+ in a class that I was expecting like a C in so it boosted my grades this semester.

Too awful to tell you guys. Let's just say it brought my GPA down .6 point.
