So how do I get money from UT?

Is it too late? (2010-2011 freshman) Or can I apply when I'm a sophomore?

you should have feeled out the scholarship application when you submitted your application on applytexas. UT usually gives scholarshisp to kids with well above average test scores(with the exception of some scholarships). Im not sure how you would go about applying for them next year.

The 1011 deadline for applying for UT scholarships has passed. The application for continuing students will be available in November here: [Texas Scholarships](http://www.texasscholarships.org/)
Check with your college too, most have separate scholarship applications.

I think Pierrechn meant you perhaps should have “filled” out the scholarship application earlier. In any event, departmental scholarships are available and some, depending on the college, are quite good (engineering for instance). Once you arrive at UT next fall, check with your respective department’s office and find out the prerequisites needed to fill out an application.

hA MY bad lol

Here is an answer. Call financial aid. See what they say.

I would think you are screwed for this fall. It may not be too late (I don’t know) but financial aid is distributed based on your filing date. Most probably the only thing you will get is loans, and those only if it is not too late. Plan ahead.

I did answer -it is too late to apply for scholarships (through the general scholarship application) now. Different colleges/schools (ie Comm, Business, Engineering, etc.) have different application deadlines, so check the appropriate website for your major.

If you are referring to the FAFSA, it is not too late to submit it, but it is too late to be awarded the majority of grants. You can still get loans and the Pell grant (if your EFC is low enough).

your question was answered.
