I'm reading Cracking the ACT and I'm going through the sections one-by-one and when I'm finished with the book, I'm going to try the practice tests. I'm sure others start out by taking the practice tests first and then working on their weaknesses, but I suck at every section. Should I continue to read section by section or take the practice test right now?

How should I go about prepping for the Feb. ACT?
By the way, who tried the book: Increase Your Score In 3 Minutes A Day: ACT Reading? Does it help?

yeah thats true. To tell you the truth, I didnt even prep for the ACT. Well maybe the day before, but I do not advised this for everyone. I got a 27 though, which is okkkkk I guess but fair for doing nothing. My cousin actually used that 3min day book and her reading score was the highest

english, know the grammar rules
Math, know the stupid little stuff that will get you. standard deviations and normal dist (if not in stats probably foreign), Matrices!!!, trig identities, stuff like that
Reading, Time
Science, the different kind of sections that are always on it... but to sum it up Time
So really just maybe look in a book for the first 2 til you get the concepts down
and just practice tests on the last two

I think the ACT tests you on broader aspects than the SAT does. The SAT you really have to study the test itself, but on the ACT, it's all about bringing back your English skills and math skills that you've learned throughout your school years.. at least, that's how I feel.

The SAT critical reading section is too difficult for me, and I feel that I have to memorize vocabulary and practice a lot of passage reading for me to improve... ugh > <
