notify.princeton.edu says decisions are available April 1st at 5 PM EDT, but where? Do we log in to the application tracking system?

Umm…yes?

“To view your decision, you must first register with Princeton’s Application Tracking System.”

That’s from the link you posted.

That we must be registered with the tracking system in order to view decisions doesn’t necessarily imply that they will be posted there. It may mean that the login information used for the tracking system must be used on a different page (similar to MIT) or that our email addresses need to be registered with the tracking system in order for an email with the decision to be sent. Also, the page with the tracking system doesn’t mention anything about decisions being posted there on April 1st.

I’m kinda interested in knowing the answer to the OP’s question, too.

I’m pretty sure that at the appropriate time, there will be a login form on the notify.princeton.edu page.

e-mail with full instructions arrived today … exciting …

D just got an e-mail from Princeton explaining the procedure for the 1st. As expected, available after 5 p.m. EDT at https://notify.princeton.edu/

Think they might get a little traffic that day?

Did anyone else not yet receive the email with directions? I’m trying not to take this as a bad sign.

i didn’t receive the email…

Nor did I…

I didn’t. I dont think this e-mail means anything though, dont worry

ughhh… this is going to cause another round of speculation

Dear Student,

Admission decisions for applicants to the Princeton Class of 2014 will be available online on Thursday, April 1, 2010 after 5 p.m. EDT. We also will send decision letters by standard mail to all applicants.

If you already registered to use Princeton’s Application Tracking System to verify whether we received all of your application materials, you must use that username and password to see your decision.

If you have not yet registered, you must register to use Princeton’s Application Tracking System. Due to the large number of students we anticipate visiting the site when it goes live, the registration system will be unavailable from 4 to 6 p.m. EDT on April 1, 2010. Accessing your decision online involves a two-part process:

To register you must have two pieces of information: the email address and PIN you recorded on your Princeton application. You will use the email address and PIN from your application to create a username and password. We recommend that you write down the username and password you create when you register. To register, go to https://admissionapp.princeton.edu/uarcd/.

In order to view your decision, you will be required to enter the username and password you created during registration. Please note that your username and password are not the same as your email address and PIN.

To protect the confidentiality of your decision, do not share your username and password with anyone. When you have finished viewing your decision online, be certain to close your browser.

After 5 p.m. on April 1, please go to https://notify.princeton.edu/ to view your decision. You may wish to bookmark this link ahead of time. Be sure to copy and paste the entire link. Note that it begins with https, rather than http.

Applicants who did not list an email address and PIN on the application will need to wait for their decisions to arrive by standard mail. They may also call our office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EDT beginning on Monday, April 5, 2010.

Thank you for applying to Princeton.

Sincerely,
Princeton Admission Office

WAIT…

I got one, but it seems like not everyone got one…
hope this is a good sign!!!

I got one, doubt it means anything though.

I got one as well, and it seems I am always the last to get these types of emails.

i got one too…i don’t think that’s a good sign actually.

anyways–just login to your tracking with your username and password. i forgot my password so i set up another one with my PIN

^why is it NOT a good sign??

I got one too, and I think these are exactly the types of emails that we shouldn’t look too much into.
