So how hard is it to transfer?

So how hard is it to transfer to William and Mary? Is it easier to transfer to William and Mary than to UVA? How hard is it to transfer in the spring?
Is it easier to transfer from a Virgnia Community College? What about from James Madison University?

its about the same...I'd say transferring to WM is probably harder than to UVa based on first year and transfer acceptance rates

okay, just to give some perspective as to the whole transfer thing, i'll give you a run down of my experiences. i applied to w&m out of hs (out of state) and was waitlisted. i applied this winter as a fall 2006 transfer and was accepted (then again, in-state/out of state apparently doesn't matter as much for transfers). i also applied to uva, and was rejected as a transfer. i wish i could tell you about transferring in from va schools, but i'm not from va. best of luck!

what are your stats? i got accepted as a transfer to both wm and uva (instate), but was defered early admit to wm out of high school and then rejected, and waitlisted at uva out of high school. if you're coming from a com college you need a very high gpa, like 3.7 or 4.0, from a 4 year school i have been told by a dean of admissions right around a 3.5 is nice and that yes it is easier to get into wm for spring semester.
