I am curious, is it as fun and/or academically intense as I am hearing from not only my own kid but other parents of FSSP kids?
Maybe the new FSSP first years are on facebook or elsewhere (or even real life, WOW) and this place is out of date. If so, no worries.
I hope right now all of you at FSSP are having a great time and still learning how to be solid college students, too (they are not mutually exclusive, esp. at UCSB if you try).
I am sure the kids and parents deciding next year if they should do FSSP or not would like your take right now- as of 1 1/2 weeks in.
Further, any updates or thoughts as you get more into this very short semester will be very valuable as you look back in a year or so and advise the new incoming kids next year and beyond.
Hugs to all of the new adults at FSSP, please know that as parents we miss you, love you, and are still so proud.

Some of my friends at UCSB thought FSSP was the best time of their college lives. At the very least, it prepared them very well for the upcoming school year. Knowing your way around the campus and culture on day one is a good advantage

Doing FSSP last year was the second best decision of my life, with the first being to choose to attend UCSB.
