As international students, we all know we have a bit more of a challenge ahead of us - because we don't have the same grading systems, not all of us have been preparing our whole lives for American colleges and such a small percentage of students at each college are international.

So how many colleges are you applying to, to take down the risk factor? I'm applying to 20. Yes, I know that's a bit insane.

Ugh. I know >.<
But I seriously need to do it because even though I have great scores, I don't know how much a college is going to view me as "special". And I mean, just look at this forum - everyone on here, or most, have awesome SAT scores, but only some here will get accepted to their favorite college.

4 US and well I filled all my 9 choices for UAC (University Admissions here - you dont choose 9 unis rather 9 courses) which are basically at four different Unis... but I only really want my first 2 choices... possibly the 4th as well

i've only applied to three U.S colleges which was a huge risk.

New York University - haven't heard as yet. don't expect for a next couple of weeks.
University of Miami - already accepted!
Rutgers - They botched my application, so screw them.

well, I heard that Rutgers was a good school, but after the hell they put with me through with applying, i said screw them after UMiami said yes.

I'm still waiting on NYU and it's going to be a loooong wait, it seems.

I will apply to 5. I'm taking the view that unless I get in somewhere that is close to the best in the world, it's not worth the expense. Consequently, all my choices are risky, and I may get 5 rejections.
