So...how many people actually put down more than the 12 ECs given?

On the common app, they give us 12 spots for ECs. I feel like that is more than enough to list the ones that actually mattered during HS. However, I do want a feel for how many applicants actually attach extra resumes to elaborate or add more ECs?

I think you can write more in the additional info below

Hmm…gotcha… but is the additional info section for elaboration of activities already listed or is it space for new activities?

Yes, but you can add anything if you want. More Ecs, elaborate them, anything…

Make sure not to appear spread too thin.

spread too thin - do you mean a laundry list of activities without any significant achievements?

I won’t be attaching a resume. I already have one written up from before for different internships I was applying to, but I realized that the Common App generally allows me to cover everything I deem important to my own application without using a resume.

i have more than 12 E.Cs, and would like to use the 150 words to explain a couple. Do people usually attach a seperate document with even more E.Cs?? if so, is that ill advised?

^^^Essentially. It’s basically like showing no dedication to any of your ECs or not being actively involved in them.
