<p>No, they just don;t look at them. Most colleges Im looking at only require 1 or 2, so I'll only send in....1 or 2.</p>
<p>SIX letters total? just send in three. for six, they'll either ignore the extra three or be turned off by ur file.</p>
<p>If I were an admissions person, to me you'd look desperate, and I'd also think, "hmmm... I don't want to read all this anyway" ---> trash. And all your teachers' hard work in coming up with a thoughtful letter has gone to waste.</p>
<p>It's only worthwhile if they'll make you really stand out. The Harvard professor who worked with you over the summer and calls you the greatest mind he's ever known and the Second Coming of Christ, yes. Your track coach, no. The woman you plucked from a burning building, yes. Some teacher who gave you an A that barely knows you, no.</p>
